Complaints about the handling of personal information can be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au/.
1. Who we are
This website, gabewoods.com, is operated by JKC Consulting, an Australian sole-trader business based in Sydney, Australia. Our full business details, including our ABN, are provided on all quotes and tax invoices. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business. “You” means a visitor to the site.
2. About this policy
We handle personal information in a way that aims to be consistent with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We publish this policy as a matter of good practice so you can understand what we collect, why and what choices you have. This policy covers gabewoods.com only. It is not legal advice.
3. What we collect and why
Most people can browse this site without giving us any personal information.
We collect personal information when you choose to send it to us, mainly through a booking or inquiry form. Depending on the form, that can include:
- your name,
- your email address,
- details you type into your inquiry, such as the type of event, the date, the location, your budget and your message,
- your email address if you opt in to hear from us.
We use this information to reply to you, to prepare a quote, to arrange and confirm a booking and to issue a tax invoice for professional services. We do not sell your personal information.
By submitting a form, you consent to us collecting and using your information as set out in this policy.
4. How your information is stored
When you submit a form, the details are stored in the website's secure, access-controlled database and a notification is sent to us so we can respond.
The website is hosted on servers provided by Hostinger, and those servers are located in Singapore. This means that when you submit a form, your personal information is stored and accessible overseas. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure, but you should be aware of this cross-border storage before you send us your details. Storing information overseas does not lessen our obligations under Australian privacy law.
5. Email notifications
When you submit an inquiry, we receive an email notification so we can respond to you. Standard email is not a fully secure form of communication, so please avoid sending us sensitive information (such as identity documents or financial details) through a web form or email.
6. Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location based on your IP address and the type of device and browser you use. This information is pseudonymous: it is not used by us to identify you personally.
This analytics information is disclosed to Google, which stores it on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Google may transfer and store this information on servers outside Australia and may process it in accordance with its own privacy policy. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by using your browser's privacy settings, by declining non-essential cookies where a choice is offered or by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Cookies and similar technology
This site uses a minimal set of cookies. These are limited to cookies needed to run the site, to keep it fast (caching) and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not carry third-party ad networks on this site.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep inquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to deal with your inquiry and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations. Australian tax record-keeping obligations generally require business records to be kept for around five years. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.
9. Access and correction
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 16. We will respond within a reasonable time, consistent with APP 12 and APP 13.
10. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information and we share it only where needed to run the business:
- our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the site and its database,
- our email service provider (Google Workspace), used to send and receive booking notifications,
- any professional adviser (for example an accountant) where reasonably needed and
- where we are required to by law.

This site links out to social media platforms and other websites. When you follow one of those links, you leave gabewoods.com, and the privacy policy of the destination site applies to your activity there. We are not responsible for the practices of those sites.
12. 18+ subdomain
A separate, age-restricted subdomain for adult (18+) content is planned. It is not part of gabewoods.com and it will carry its own separate terms and privacy policy. This policy does not cover that subdomain.
13. Data breaches
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and, in the event of an eligible data breach, will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
14. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

3. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, layout, design and photography, is owned by or licensed to Gabe Woods and is protected by copyright and other laws. Where photographs were taken by third-party photographers, those photographers are credited as the creator, and the copyright and all usage rights are held by Gabe Woods.
Nothing on this site transfers any ownership or licence to you.
4. No scraping or reuse of images and content
You may view this site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not, without our prior written permission:
- copy, download, save, reproduce or republish any image or other content from this site,
- scrape, crawl, harvest or use automated tools to extract content or images,
- use any image or content to train, build or populate any dataset, model or database or
- use any image or content for any commercial purpose.
Our images carry embedded copyright and provenance information. Unauthorised use of an image is an infringement of copyright.
5. Booking inquiries are invitations, not contracts
Any rates, services or availability shown on this site are an invitation to inquire, not an offer capable of acceptance. When you submit a booking or inquiry form, you are asking us to consider your request and to provide a quote. You are not booking anything at that point, and no contract is formed.
A booking is only confirmed when we accept it in writing and issue a tax invoice from JKC Consulting. Our standard booking terms are then:
- a 50% non-refundable retainer to secure the date,
- the balance payable before the event and
- payment by direct bank transfer (EFT or PayID).
No payment is processed on this website. We do not collect card or bank details through the site.
6. Rates and availability
Rates shown on this site are indicative ranges only and may change without notice. A confirmed price applies only once we have provided a written quote and issued an invoice.

You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, not to interfere with or disrupt the site or its security and not to use automated systems to access or harvest the site except as permitted by our robots file.
8. Links to other sites
This site contains links to third-party websites and social media platforms, provided for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link does not mean we endorse the linked site.
9. 18+ content
This website is intended to be safe for work and does not host adult content. Adult (18+) material is published on a separate, age-restricted subdomain, which is governed by its own terms. Before that subdomain grants access to any adult material, visitors must complete an age-assurance check provided by an accredited third-party age-assurance provider, in line with the eSafety Commissioner's Age-Restricted Material Codes. The subdomain applies age estimation with an identity or payment-based verification fallback; it does not require or retain a government-issued ID as the sole method, and collects the minimum personal information necessary for the check. Those terms, not these, govern that subdomain.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
This site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or from reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by that law.
11. Suspension of access
We may suspend or withdraw your access to this site at any time if you breach these terms.
12. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your use of this site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
